The mission of the Virginia Assistive Technology System (VATS) is to ensure that Virginians of all ages and abilities can acquire the appropriate, affordable assistive and information technologies and services they need to participate in society as active citizens.
Assistive Technology Loan Fund Authority (ATLFA)
The Assistive Technology Loan Fund Authority (ATLFA) is a Commonwealth of Virginia State Authority created with public funds to help Virginians with disabilities obtain assistive technology. The ATLFA provides affordable financing alternatives (loans with below-market interest rates, no down payments, longer repayment terms, etc.) to help make adaptive equipment a possibility for individuals who might not otherwise be eligible for borrowing.
WWRC Assistive Technology Services
Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center, a Division of the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services which is located in Fishersville, VA, offers state-of-the-art evaluation, consultation and treatment programs for individuals who require assistive technology to live, work and go to school as independently as possible.
